The F-35 Lightning II Program (also known as the Joint Strike Fighter Program) is the Department of

Defense’s focal point for defining affordable next generation strike aircraft weapon systems for the Navy,

Air Force, Marines, and our Allies. The F-35 is the next generation strike fighter bringing cutting-edge

technologies to the battle space of the future. The JSF’s advanced airframe, autonomic logistics,

avionics, propulsion systems, stealth, and firepower will ensure that the F-35 is the most affordable,

lethal, supportable, and survivable aircraft ever to be used by so many warfighters across the globe.

The F-35 Lightning II Program is a joint program with no lead service, staffed by Air Force, Navy, and

Marine Corps personnel. The Program Executive Officer position alternates between the Departments

of Navy and Air Force and reports to the Service Acquisition Executive (SAE) of the other service.

The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program is an internationally oriented program consisting of partnerships with a number of official cooperating partner countries, including; United Kingdom, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey, Canada, Australia, Denmark, and Norway.

The F-35 is currently in the System Development and Demonstration Phase and will focus on developing a family of strike aircraft that significantly reduces life-cycle cost. The program will use a phased block approach that addresses aircraft and weapons integration and provides a validated and verified air system for the Service Initial Operational Capability requirements.

HTii provides on and off-site support to the Joint Strike Fighter Joint Program Office through requirements management and systems engineering support. Utilizing the DOORS database, HTii provides the program office an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of past and current requirements, as well as the ability to incorporate new requirements as they are developed. Information management consultation services are provided to develop better tools to support in-service engineering efforts. The goal of HTii is to provide our customers with an integrated picture of JSF requirements to allow senior decision makers to make well informed design trades to maximize the warfighting capabilities of the aircraft and minimize the risk to the young men and women who fly them and maintain them all over the world.
