Requirements Engineer

This position will require frequent customer interface and close coordination with USN and contractor personnel at all levels of management. Exceptional communication (written and verbal) abilities are required. The successful candidate will support the program manager’s day to day requirements development activities that normally include:

  • input of data into a Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) database specific to maintaining the CDD, CDP, SPECS, TEMP, and other supporting program documents
  • application of Holmes-Tucker’s Requirements Management System for
    • processing of comments made to program office documents
    • production of coordination and disposition files in support of a document coordination cycles
    • production of principle program office documents
    • support of program adjudication meetings
  • support the PleaseReview document review and coordination process
  • establish linkage and traceability among program documentation within the DOORS database, and obtain customer validation of associated linkage and traceability
  • support/conduct project status reviews with the customer
  • provide input to monthly reports detailing contract activities
  • troubleshoot RMS software, identify and document problems and the need for new/enhanced capabilities.  Work with the technical team to develop new capabilities and resolve problems with existing functionality.  Document these requests in H-T’s Software Control Database

 A minimum education of a Bachelors Degree and 6-8 years of experience affiliated with a US military flight program, or similar experience, is required. Excellent computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office applications are required. The applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A background in USN aviation, experience in DoD acquisition, or hands on experience with Microsoft Access and Visual Basic for Applications are highly desired.

 Logistics Analyst Sought-SSAR

This position will require frequent customer interface and close coordination with USN and contractor personnel at all levels of management. Exceptional communication (written and verbal) abilities are required. The successful candidate will assist Holmes-Tucker’s Program Manager and the NAVAIR Facilities Enterprise Leadership Team (FELT) Team Chief in developing and institutionalizing the SSAR information system within the US Navy. This on-line system replaces multiple Facilities Requirements Documents, manual site survey and related paper documents now developed to support all Naval air systems. The candidate will specifically be responsible for analyzing available facilities requirements information to help determine what, and in what format this data will be maintained in the SSAR.  He/she will also be responsible for developing requirements for additional logistics support information needed to adequately support emerging new systems such as unmanned air vehicles aboard air-capable ships and at designated shore facilities. The candidate will be required to analyze trouble and system deficiency reports and to recommend both software and process solutions, and to assist in further development of system capabilities. He/she will use other computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Project and SharePoint to facilitate data production, coordination, recording and maintenance. The analyst will work within a team of H-T computer and functional SSAR experts.
